What is a V- Spoiler? V-spoilers are a patented, 100% Danish product designed to optimize fuel consumption and minimize CO2 emissions by creating the right aerodynamics around and behind the vehicle. It is a system consisting, depending on the type and size of the vehicle, of several or several dozen plastic/rubber micro spoilers. The use of the product reduces air resistance, which in turn translates into reduced fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions. The V-spoiler got its name from the V-shaped shape that was developed from experiments with the so-called Vortex Generator, or VG for short. VGs are known from Siemens, Vestas, NASA, Formula 1 projects and help to control wind and vacuum in the best possible way to avoid drag affecting costly losses.
What vehicles can V-Spoilers be used on?
What are the benefits of using V-Spoilers? V-spoilers are the best solution to minimize drag behind the vehicle. Installation is very easy with 3M adhesive tape. In addition to saving fuel/CO2 and minimizing drag, the use of V-Spoilers also keeps the rear of the vehicle clean longer when driving in rain, snow and fog. This means more safety because the rear lights stay clean longer. By fitting V-spoilers with reflective overlays, you gain greater visual safety when reversing out of dark places. Our customers report savings from 2 to 5% and even more, depending on driving style and vehicle constellation.
What are V-Spoilers made of? V-spoilers are made in several different models and from several different materials. Rubber panels are mainly intended for tarpaulin trailers and bodies with rear doors. The rubber panels are flexible so they can withstand the flapping movements of the tarpaulin and the pushing of the rear door. Plastic panels are designed for bodies with even flat surfaces, as well as for tanks
