The system warns of approaching pedestrians, cyclists, or stationary obstacles (poles, fire hydrants, cones) in the driver's blind spot. The system is particularly useful in urban areas. Sensors monitor the corner of the vehicle and the area around the truck's front wheel. Audible warnings alert drivers with a series of audible signals, helping to avoid accidental contact and, consequently, vehicle damage or injury to third parties in this critical area of ​​the vehicle. The buzzer with 3-stage volume control emits an intermittent signal when the object/threat is 60 cm away (first detection zone), and at a critical distance of 30 cm the audible signal becomes continuous to draw the driver's attention to the approaching danger. Specifically designed and developed for trucks and buses, these proximity systems utilize the new Vehicle Powerline Communication (VPC) system, ultrasonic sensors, and DataCAN technology.
